Our mission is to improve dramatically the outcomes of care for children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

About the PR-COIN Collaborative

PR-COIN is a multicenter network created to develop and evaluate specific JIA disease management strategies to improve outcomes in JIA including: to increase remission rates, improve functional status, and decrease levels of pain. PR-COIN is modeled on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's successful Breakthrough Series Collaborative Model and employs quality improvement methodology meeting American Board of Pediatrics maintenance of certification (Part 4, MOC) requirements.

During monthly webinars and semi-annual workshops PR-COIN teams review data, share best practices and participate in Improvement Science training. Armed with their new knowledge, PR-COIN teams then test innovative ideas and processes at their clinic sites. All participants benefit as teams share their expertise, tools, and techniques that lead to successful results. Data submitted to a population registry is analyzed to produce aggregate and site specific reports to identify patterns of care associated with better outcomes.
