Our mission is to dramatically improve the outcomes
of care for children with rheumatic conditions.

PR-COIN is a multicenter Learning Network that develops and evaluates specific Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) disease management strategies to increase remission rates, improve functional status, and decrease levels of pain. PR-COIN is modeled on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's successful Breakthrough Series Collaborative Model and employs quality improvement methodology meeting the American Board of Pediatrics maintenance of certification (Part 4, MOC) requirements.
Monthly webinars and bi-annual conferences allow PR-COIN teams to review data, share best practices, and participate in Improvement Science training. Armed with new knowledge, PR-COIN teams are able to test innovative ideas and processes at their clinic sites. All participating PR-COIN members benefit, as teams continually share the tools and techniques that have proven successful. The data submitted into the population registry is analyzed, and aggregate and site specific reports are produced.  These reports are used to identify patterns of care associated with better outcomes.
